Hip area of the bed is specially design with a double layer of wood springs to enhance support. Adjustable firmness control is also provided for in the hip area--if adjusted towards the middle, the firmness is increased; adjustment towards the edges softens this part of the bed.

Designed to replace the mattress when in the up-reclined position. Serves to cover storage areas beneath the mattress and effectively protect stored items from dust.

The compartment under the wood springs provides for a convenient storage area for cloths and linens. Equipped with a wooden ventilation bottom grate to provide protection against dampness.
