Maruhachi Futon Clinic
At Maruhachi, we like to have a long mutually beneficial relationship with our customers and so our after sales service is one area to which we pay particular attention. Indeed, we have a motto that expresses our responsibility to the customers' purchases, "Good after sales service engenders customer loyalty". The Maruhachi Futon Clinic carries out general maintenance to customers' futons. This does not only involve cleaning but rather, consists of a multi-stage clinic treatment including a preliminary diagnosis of the futon's overall condition, then deep cleaning, stain removal, and finally repairs as required. Before being returned to the customer, we exercise thorough care and attention appropriate to the specific type of material used in the futon. The rejuvenation process in the Maruhachi Futon Clinic is so good that a futon that has undergone treatment can barely be recognized as being the same one that was sent in. Here again, it is our very own latest equipment and dedicated staff that are working the miracles, but then again, would you expect anything less from us!
Maruhachi Futon Recycling
Maruhachi is actively involved in futon recycling. Customers' disused old futons are collected, inspected and then sorted out into their various styles. After which, they are then recycled and emerge as packing materials and so forth. In 1997, our factory in Asaba-Cho was specially built to handle futon and bed recycling and reprocessing. We feel that by cleaning up after ourselves, we as a company are making a small contribution to alleviating the environmental pollution problem.

IT Room
Total information management is surely one of the keywords for companies that enter the fray of the 21st century. The Maruhachi Group has been particularly aware of its importance for some time now and has accordingly been taking steps to actuaries information management within the company. Starting with computerized administrative management in 1972, the trend spread to the head office, factories and all outlets which in1976, were all linked by computer on-line systems. The trial was pioneering in the financial and product distribution worlds and we consequently became the center of attention. The future information management systems will be housed in the IT room in our main Yokohama office. The host computer is located in the IT room and will collectively manage the information for the 33 nation wide sales companies and the 170 sales branches. The Customer Service Office is an interface between us and the customer and any opinions and requests expressed therein will be added to the database. So as you can appreciate, this computer network will be instrumental in improving our customer service.
Customer Service Section
The customer is not charged for using this service and all telephone enquiries are free-dial. Our telephone customer service representative shall answer all enquiries whether it be to discuss an opinion, request or consultation concerning one of our products or services or even to discuss a matter relevant to a contract agreement. We pride ourselves in being able to satisfy our customers needs and we hope that the Customer Service Section will be instrumental in achieving just this.
