Frankly speaking, there is no point going to a lot of trouble to make a product appealing if the customer is basically not interested. As it is through our products that we are trying to make our mark in people's lives, we are constantly trying to come up with new innovations at even the sales and management areas that we believe will capture the customer's imagination. Our unique sales system is an excellent example of this objective put into practice. We have devised a five channel sales technique, corporate sales, retail store sales, business hotels and guest houses sales, catalogue sales and finally, Door to Door Sales. We adjust our sales techniques according to the specific requirements of each type of customer, using a method of sales that is most likely to get through to the customer and ensure satisfaction.

CHANNEL 1Door to Door
The Maruhachi Group's first venture was in Door to Door sales and this has still remained the main sales technique. This sales system was set up with its own dispatch section however, the distribution mechanism was found to be too complex and plans for simplification are being promoted. Door to Door sales allow us to provide the customer with good quality products at competitive prices and furthermore, the fact that orders can be quickly expedited from our factory to the customer's home without going through any middle men is another merit. A large network throughout the country has been set up and currently there are 170 sales branches employing 2,000 sales assistants.
CHANNEL 2Corporate Sales
As we are recognized as being experts in the fields of restful sleep and bedding, our sales visits to firms and corporate organizations have been most successful. Centering on the Tokyo area, we have delivered our product catalogue to the general affairs and welfare departments of approximately 300 companies. The staff of these companies rotate the catalogues around the departments of the firm and interested employees send us orders by facsimile or other such method. Many people these days are very busy and cannot take time off to go shopping so instead, we go to their work places and explain the items on the catalogue. This sales method has been particularly well received by corporate customers.
CHANNEL 3Hotel and inns Sales
For the traveler, nothing cures travel weariness better than a good relaxing night's sleep. Consequently, top class hotels and country inns, wanting their guests to wake up refreshed in the morning, are very discerning in their choice of bedding and it is from these professionals that we have received high accolades. Covering the complete spectrum from rustic Japanese style country inns to elegant sophisticated international hotels, Maruhachi meticulously selects styles to suit the individuality and atmosphere of each establishment and can moreover, suggest products with a high degree of originality. It is not without reason that our products continue to be requested.

CHANNEL 4Retail Outlet Sales
We only handle futons of exclusively the best quality and this quality can be appreciated by many people throughout Japan simply by visiting our direct sales retail outlets where our line in futons is on display. While one reason for having these outlets is so that we can keep up a good level of contact with the local population, however the main purpose is so that the retail store sales becomes a place that serves as a local communication base where people feel that they can drop in anytime and tell us what their views are on our products. Not only do we ensure that our products are abundantly displayed, but our staffs make themselves available to give advice to people on how best to enjoy their sleep time and even on how to interior decorate their bedrooms. These staffs are trained specialists and welcome all customers and their enquiry.
CHANNEL 5Catalogue Sales
As it is through our products that we are trying to make our mark in people's lives so accordingly, we started our catalogue sales business in 1994 and have been operating since. Our selling points are our good reputation in eyes of the general public as a bedding manufacturer and the know-how that we have accumulated over many years in the business. Not unjustifiably, we are proud of our extensive array of products that constitute the catalogue product line-up. In addition to our products, catalogues also carry numerous other products whose brand names are famous throughout the world, fashionable clothes, and other assorted goods. We fully intend to keep working at making our catalogues even more successful so that future readers may enjoy this kind of shopping as much as they have done so far.
