Maruhachi's operations are not solely limited to Japan, but have expanded out into other countries as well. The Japanese operations are centred in Shizuoka Prefecture wherein five manufacturing centres featuring the latest equipment have been built. In addition to the overseas network set up to export raw materials to Japan, affiliated companies in various countries in Europe, North America and Asia have been established to carry out in-house manufacture and sales. the affiliates in Asia were established relatively early and currently, bedding is being manufactured in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, China, Taiwan and other countries. Furthermore, as people are demanding the very best available, our search for the best has not stopped with bedding but has expanded out to an active acquisition of information pertinent to a total comprehensive outlook including even the aspect of fashion. Because at Maruhachi, we believe that the perfect bedding requires ideal materials, we have expanded our global network in search of material excellence. For example, down from China and Eastern Europe, wool from France, sheepskins from Australia and New Zealand are used with each country of origin being meticulously selected for the superiority of its product. We visit each country, painstakingly select and export to Japan only the best products produced for that year. We also own large wool producing sheep farm in Australia (1,785ha). In addition to guaranteeing product quality control, special efforts are made to provide stable raw material supply (we only use materials that we have approved ourselves). Still, when you consider our company philosophy, all these are no more than what you would expect.
